The Amazon Lightening Deals are limited quantity offers that are available for short periods of time. You’ll find them in the Today’s Deals (click the Lightening Deals icon).
These deals are offered on a one per customer basis until the offer ends or stock runs out. A handy tip is to sign up to watch Lightening deals up to 24 hours before the offer starts; this includes receiving notifications via mobile phone just prior to the deal starting (you need the Amazon app. Make sure your notifications are also turned on).
Here’s an example of what you’ll see:
- The price and the discount on the list price, along with the percentage off.
- The percentage that’s already been claimed.
- A countdown of when the offer will end.
- Rating star reviews of the product.
- By clicking on the product you’ll be taken through to the listing page, where you can find the full details and specifications of your choice.
- When you click the ‘Add to Basket’ button you will see a countdown of how long you have to make the purchase:
Sometimes you might see the button ‘Join Waitlist’. This means that the particular deal in question are in other customers’ shopping carts, for example. The products will become available again if they’re not purchased.
All deals are on a first come, first served basis.
There are also Prime Day deals which means these offers are exclusively for Prime members only.
You can’t transfer Lightening Deals to other Amazon accounts.
