Ever fancy earning a little extra cash in your spare time? Here’s a list of sites that pay you to fill in surveys – whether it’s vouchers, points, or cash.

Prolific

Paid research studies with Prolific is probably one of our favourite sites. You only get invited to the surveys that you’re eligible to take. This means you don’t get screened out. It’ll depend on the demographic you’re in, but sometimes you can get quite a few and other times there isn’t much happening. Either way, wait for the emails or log in now and then to check. You can sign up here.

Respondent

Apply for moderated and unmoderated projects that best fit your skills and experiences. The screener surveys ask a series of qualifying questions to see if you fit the criteria for the respective projects. While you don’t get paid for taking the screeners they usually only take a minute to do and if you’re chosen for a project you could earn $50 or more depending on the project. There are also some shorter projects that offer less than this. The amount you could earn if selected for a project is given at the time you take the screener. Respondent takes a $1 or 5% fee of earnings. Sometimes it takes a while to get selected for a project, but the effort is often worthwhile. Sign up to Respondent to access the latest research projects.

User Interviews

Similar to Respondent, User Interviews is a great way to earn extra cash by taking part in paid research studies. Again, you will need to fill in qualifying surveys to be in with a chance of being chosen for the paid research opportunities. User Interviews is also worth the effort given the earnings potential is similar to Respondent. The good thing is User Interviews don’t take a fee. The only downside for us that we were presented with fewer opportunities than Respondent, but then you might have a different experience.

Swagbucks

Swagbucks offers lots of tasks and pays you for the everyday things you do online. It’s basically a pay to click site. One of the tasks includes completing short surveys. And you can redeem your cash with PayPal and Amazon gift cards amongst others. It’s also got good reviews on Trust Pilot at the time of writing this article.

InstaGC

InstaGC provides a huge number of ways to redeem your earnings including Amazon, John Lewis, Marks and Spencer, PizzaExpress, Google Play, Debenhams and Steam. There are loads more to pick from too. Besides being able to earn points by taking surveys, you also get paid to watch videos, shop online and search the web. So there’s plenty of options to boost your payments.

LifePoints

LifePoints is a great way to earn extra cash – particularly as they have lots of different redemption options. Amazon and PayPal are popular examples but there are many more too. Like a lot of survey sites you can get screened out but you do still receive entries into their sweepstakes. An Android and iOS app is also available for download.

Valued Opinions

With Valued Opinions you get anything from 25p-£30 per survey. As you can imagine there’s a lot less at the upper end of the spectrum. You get the money in the form of gift cards. There’s plenty to choose from including Amazon and Sainsbury’s.

Pinecone Research

Earn points for every completed survey you take with Pinecone Research. You can then redeem those points for cash or prizes. There is also the occasional product test too. You can find out more here. At the time of writing they’re currently not taking on new participants, but it’s worth watching out for. We’ll update the site if we get notification.

Viewsbank

Take surveys, polls and participate in mystery shopping opportunities. Viewsbank offers the opportunity to make some extra cash and get paid via PayPal as soon as your account reaches £12.

One Poll

These short little surveys take around 5 minutes on average, some can be less. You don’t get huge amounts for each one. They can be about £0.15 or so but they’re usually quite easy to complete. You can also get a spurt of surveys and then it goes dry for a while. Patience is what’s needed.

Like all survey sites, they’re a supplement to other money saving or money making options. No one thing will be the holy grail but individually over time they’ll add to a nice steady stream of cash, vouchers etc. In terms of payout, you need to have £30 before you can withdraw the money by either BACS or PayPal.

Branded Surveys

Take part in global branded surveys and get paid at the same time. Branded Surveys matches you with the opportunities that it has available. Your earnings can be redeemed by PayPal, Branded Pay, or virtual gift card.

Rewarded Surveys

Earn points by taking surveys that can be exchanged for Amazon gift vouchers or as cash via PayPal. You can also test products and carry out mystery shopping in your area.

GFK Media View

Win prizes for answering TV & Radio Surveys with GFK Media View. If you like giving your views on what you’ve watched or listened to then this might just be for you. Broadcasters use the information to shape the future of what it does so it’s an opportunity to have an input.

OK, you’ll not make lots of money doing surveys but it can be a great pastime if you’ve got a few moments to spare. It’s a case of trying them out, and picking the site(s) that work best for you.
